Betrayal...?

Are you bringing a location? (explain/describe): Robin brings his home- a modestly built Fae home, 3 bedrooms, with the usual enchantments, purification pumped water, basin of cleaning, self-kindling oven/stove, etc. Though his room is still made to hold one 12 year old...
Finally. He'd been waiting three years for this, to finally leave, to go together... He looked in Sophia's eyes.
"...We're ready," Robin said.
"Alright then," The elder woman said, cracking her knuckles, "Robin, you already know what the leap feels like, Sophia, you might not remember, so... This is going to feel a bit odd, like your stomach's been left in the other realm. That's normal, it'll only last a few seconds."
Sophia took a deep breath. "Into the hedge."
Their liason concentrated, and the three blinked from the room, the residual energies behind convincing any who might've witnessed that nothing unusual happened...
He arrived with a start nowhere they intended to be, and without the usual feelings that accompanied a leap to the fae realm... He realized quickly she was gone. They were all gone- he was alone.
"What...?"
He looked around, coming to grips with the scenery- the scenery of Basingsport. There was a castle, but not the Fae royal castle... and several other buildings, and on the horizon a city, but one markedly human, not Fae...
"...she betrayed us," he fumed, fists clenching... But then, fear slowly began to grip him. If this fate for him, then what for his love, what for his surrogate mother...?
"....I will find her. I will find out. And I am going to make her pay."
